We publish the documents behind what we say about our oil, so you don't have to take our word for it. Each report or certificate link opens the original document as a PDF. Lab results describe the submitted samples; contact us for documentation relating to a specific product or lot.

Independent lab analysis — SGS, December 2025

A producer sample of extra virgin olive oil was tested by SGS Tunisia (report TLHP25-001532.001, issued 30 December 2025 on a sample taken 26 December 2025). The report covers free acidity, peroxide value, UV absorbance (K232, K270 and ΔK), moisture and the fatty-acid profile. The reported sample results include free acidity of 0.18% and a peroxide value of 8.8 meq O₂/kg. Polyphenol content — Total Testing Service, January 2026

An independent HPLC analysis by Total Testing Service (report 2601084, issued 28 January 2026, method COI/T.20/Doc. 29) measured 260 mg/kg of total biophenols in a sample of extra virgin olive oil submitted by our producer. This is a producer-sample result, not a guaranteed value for each Golden Spoon product or lot. The report does not identify a specific Golden Spoon product or lot. Organic certification — USDA Organic (NOP), certified by CCPB

Our organic oils — the 500 ml, 1 L and 3 L Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil — come from Société Agricole Innovation in Sfax, Tunisia. The operation is certified to the USDA organic regulations (7 CFR Part 205) by CCPB Srl for the handling of olive oil, and has held that certification continuously since 16 December 2021.

The certification is listed in the USDA Organic Integrity Database under NOP operation ID 5380000557, with a current status of Certified and an anniversary date of 28 February 2027. It is issued in accordance with the US–Canada Organic Equivalency Arrangement, which is what allows the oil to be sold as certified organic in Canada. You can check the live status yourself at any time on the USDA Organic Integrity Database — that page is the authoritative record and is updated by the certifier, not by us.

Our Naturally Smooth extra virgin olive oil is conventionally grown and is not covered by this certification. Browse only the organic products in our organic olive oil collection.

Awards

Golden Spoon's NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition distinctions include a Gold Award in 2022 and a Silver Award in 2023. Both links lead to Golden Spoon's brand profile in the official Best Olive Oils guide.

Golden Spoon has also received a Silver Medal at EVO IOOC (2022) and recognition at the Japan Olive Oil Prize (JOOP). Awards refer to the competition years and entries concerned; they are not a laboratory certification of every current bottle or lot.
